Types of Articles Accepted
The journals of the University UDECIC accept the following types of manuscripts:

Original articles: Present unpublished results of scientific or applied research.

Review articles: Provide a critical, systematic, and updated analysis of relevant literature on a specific topic, either through a defined review protocol or traditional literature review methods.

Other types of articles: Bibliometric reviews and essays by distinguished authors (the format must be adapted to the nature of the document in each case).
Submission and Presentation
Manuscripts must be submitted through the official UDECIC journal portal (or via the institutional email indicated in each call for papers). Files must be in Word format (.docx) and written in Spanish or English. Works under simultaneous evaluation by other journals will not be accepted.
General Structure of the Manuscript

Title: Clear, concise, and representative (maximum 15 words).

Authors and affiliation: Include full name, institution (specifying faculty, school, or department), city, country, ORCID, and email address. A maximum of 4 authors per article is allowed; up to 6 authors may be accepted if justified by a research project.

Abstract and keywords: Provide an abstract of 200–250 words, followed by 6 to 8 keywords.

Body of the article: Should follow the structure appropriate to the type of work (see template).

References: Must follow APA 7th edition guidelines or the bibliographic format established by the journal.
Suggested Length

Original articles: Between 5,000 and 7,000 words (including tables and references).

Review articles: Between 6,000 and 8,000 words.
Formatting Guidelines

Font size: 12 pt; line spacing: 1.5.

Pages must be numbered consecutively.

Citations and references formatted according to APA 7th edition.

It is recommended to include numbered tables and figures, each with a title and source.
Editorial Evaluation
All manuscripts will first be reviewed by the editorial committee. If they meet the formal requirements, they will proceed to double-blind peer review. Evaluation outcomes may include: Accept without modifications, Accept with minor revisions, Revise and resubmit (major revisions), or Reject.
Ethical Considerations
Authors must ensure the originality of their manuscripts, avoid plagiarism or self-plagiarism, and declare any conflicts of interest.
The similarity index must not exceed 18%, as verified by Turnitin or an equivalent tool.
Copyright Transfer
By submitting a manuscript, authors grant the University UDECIC authorization to publish the work in open access under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, while retaining their copyright.
